The ideal candidate is a patient, energetic, and reflective practitioner who builds strong partnerships with families and is committed to best practices in early childhood education. Key Responsibilities 1. Curriculum & Instruction: Develop and implement a daily schedule and lesson plans aligned with the center’s philosophy (e.g., Play-based, Montessori, Emergent Curriculum) and state/local standards (e.g., Early Learning Framework). Create engaging, hands-on learning experiences in areas such as literacy, math, science, art, and social studies through play and exploration. Differentiate activities to meet the individual needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds of all children. 2. Classroom Environment & Management: Establish and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and inviting classroom that encourages independent exploration and positive social interaction. Implement positive guidance and classroom management strategies that support children's self-regulation and conflict-resolution skills. Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene protocols are rigorously followed (e.g., sanitization, allergy management, safe sleep practices for infants/toddlers). 3. Child & Family Engagement: Build trusting, respectful, and collaborative relationships with each child. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians through daily reports, newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and informal conversations. Respect and incorporate family values, cultures, and languages into the classroom community. 4. Professional Responsibilities: Work collaboratively as part of a teaching team, including co-teachers and assistants. Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development days, and school events.
